Scorpius and Milky Way

it takes a fire to release the seeds of lodgepole pine, eucalyptus and banksia
death do them part from their protective cones and shells
is the soul waiting for such release from its mortal coil?
does it sit in stasis below the solar plexus waiting to catch a ride on the rays of the sun to some yet undiscovered country only the dead have access to?
we're made of stardust (carl sagan) and to stardust we shall return to ride the cosmic winds like salmon returning to their spawning grounds
perhaps there is a longing in us to go back to the star that gave us birth so we too can shine in the heavens for all eternity
